- ㆍ상세내용 History of the Korean Socialist Party and its Nationalist Origins. Korean nationalists dominated the early anti-japanese resistance movement against colonial rule until 1921. The newly emergent Koran communists, however, showed concerted efforts to lead and monopolize the resistance away from nationalists and other non-communists. During the crucial period of 1919-1920, both the Korean nationalist and communist movements, the Koran Socialist Party (Shanghai Group) played a central role in the unified resistance before splitting into precursor movements that lead to the establishment of the two separate Korean states.
